Dear Mr Claus

Dear Mr Claus,

I've believed in you my whole life. Lately I've been wondering if your even real. People say that you come down our chimneys, well I don't have a chimney so how do you get in? From now on I'm going to leave my window open so me and Mrs Claus can have a little chat. And apparently you watch us all at night. Do you really watch me? I thought that you can get in trouble with the cops for doing that.

I have a box of cookies that I put out each Christmas they are 13 years old and each christmas eve you only eat half of one. I also leave a Cracked Woody on the table but every christmas morning I see Dad drinking it. Do you even like Woodys or do you like milk? I love Milk.

I have been very good this year and I was wondering if I can have a sit down on your big sack and play with all the fluffy toys. Anyway I've made a massive list of the things I want this year.

XMAS LIST :-)
•Personal butlers, C.Ronaldo, Neymar, L.Messi, John Key, Barack obama and Mrs Claus.
•$100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 (In Cash)
•A Mansion (1000000 acres big)
•All the awesome Nike and Adidas football boots in the world.
•Free passes to all the Real Madrid games and VIP access to all home games.
•100 holiday passes.

Yours sincerely

Kyle

Some third world countries are China, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Niger, Mozambique, Chad, Guinea, Afghanistan, Togo, Nepal, Cameroon, Pakistan and a lot more. movie reveiw

A review should include.
•Title / Name / Author / Director / Producer
•Plot
•Character/s
•Your opinion / judgement / rating
•Who is the audience

The Hunger Games Catching Fire was released in New Zealand on the 21st of November 2013. Franic Lawrence was the Director and produced by Nina Jacobson.

The Hunger Games Catching Fire is about the 75th Annual Hunger Games. The film starts with Katniss Everdeen arriving back from winning the 74th Hunger Games. She arrives back with Peter Mellark and they have a whole lot of interviews and speeches. Then after all the speeches and interviews they get the news that the 75th annual Hunger Games is going to be reaped upon the winning victors that are still alive in each district. What do you think will happen?

The Hunger Games Catching Fire was a awesome movie in my opinion and its really hard not to give it away to anyone. The audience for this movie would be people who like action and adventure movies and with a bit of a twist. I'll give this movie this movie a rating of 9 1/2 out of 10 for its cool storyline and its wicked twist.

Daily blog post

As we were slowly moving with the traffic if saw a sight that I wasn't familiar with. I could see smoky grey clouds the kept on rising. I was clueless as a snail. The traffic wasn't moving. I toted my horn twice and there was no response. I poked my head out the window for a better look at the road ahead. I saw the smoke all around me and very quickly the thick cloud filled my lungs and I was gasping for air. I quickly jumped back inside and put up my window. I could see nothing.

I heard the wildlife screaming in the distance. I was confused with all the smoke. I unfoged the windscreen and right in front of me was hundreds of factory chimneys. I could slowly hear the chimneys bubbling in the distance. I heard people yelling at each other like the smoke was some sort of drug. The traffic started to move again and I scary sound was getting closer and closer and closer.

The 12 Hour Relay Disaster

The look on Mr Scholes's face spelled T for trouble. He looked at the drive way and yelled, "Everyone in the class rooms!" Everyone started running to the closest class rooms. I was was trying to see what was happening but then 3 loud gun shots echoed through the field. I ran as fast as I could to the nearest classrooms. The sirens went off and everyone was panicking. I couldn't hear anything and I didn't notice people falling down behind me. I wanted to look back but I knew I couldn't. The temptation was annoying me. My legs stopped and body slowly turned to look at the bloody mess behind me. I hear'd motorbikes speed off in the distance. I ran to the Fraser street exit. My feet skidded across the cold concrete. I saw about 15 fat people on big black motorbikes speed past. They were all holding guns. They all had a badge on their jackets. I couldn't read it but I recognized The white angry bulldog. I raced up the path and jumped in Mr Bibby's brand new Jaguar. I found the keys and slammed my foot on the pedal. I zoomed down the drive way and out onto Fraser street. The pedal was jammed down I couldn't stop. In about 10 seconds I was in Merival. Suddenly I saw a bright light coming towards me. BOOM!!!

Dear Mr Diver

My name is Kyle and I'm in room 42 Rimu house. I want to change our P.E uniforms and make them cooler and more comfortable. We should change the fabric in our P.E shirts, change the design and I recon we should be able to get out names on the back of them. I think this would be a good idea because they would be more comfortable and better looking.

Letter of advice

I've got some older friends (I'm 13, they are 14/15) who have invited me to a party on Saturday night at someone's house. I'm pretty sure everyone there will b drinking. I've never had alcohol before. I'm going to tell me parents that I'm staying the night at my friend's house. I feel quite nervous, cos I know it's bad. What should I do?

I think you should ask them what they would be drinking and find out some details of whats going to be available there. Or you can just tell your parents that you'll be going to a party. If they say no then thats a good thing cos your to young anyway

Give advice

I found out my two friends smoke. I'm only 13. I don't know what to do. I am really confused. Please help.

Give Advice!

Hello darling.
I've reed your letter and I'm pretty shocked. 13 years old! Thats very bad isn't it. But don't worry i'm here to help. What I did when my friends started smoking was try to convince them to see a councilor or talk to a teacher. But what you should do is talk to them. Ask them why they're doing it and tell them that smoking kills and it can cause bad damage to your lungs and brain. But if nothing works them just simply de-friend them and then they'll feel stink.

Friday the 13th, as known as Black Friday is when a Friday falls on the 13th. Black Friday is really big in America. In America Black Friday is a really big shopping day when all stores have massive sales and every body goes shopping. Friday the 13th comes with lots of superstitions as well. Some superstitions are, a cracked mirror, having a inches left palm, having your umbrella up inside, black cats, the number 13, and lotsmor. The Heat is a funny action comedy written by Katie Dippold and directed by Paul Feig. The main actors in this movie are Sandra Bullock as Special Agent Sarah Ashburn and Melissa McCarthy from Identity Thief as Det. Shannon Mullins. The Heat is a single American movie and its 117 minutes long.

The Heat is about Special Agent Ashburn getting a promotion but ends up sending her to Boston. She goes to Boston to crack a case but Det. Shannon Mullins in already on it. They end up making an agreement and start working together. The bust lots of people bu their main investigation is finding the owner of a company bu their are already to other DEA agents on it. Later in the movie they get captured but the some people who work for the company kind nap them and then Special Agent Ashburn busts them and so on.

I loved this movie and I think its hilarious but has a good story line to it as well. My favorite parts were when Special Agent Sarah Ashburn and Det. Shannon Mullins meet for the first time and when they capture the bad guy at the end.

I recommend this film for people how like a could actin money but love comedy at the same time. IMOD rated this film 7 out of 10 but I rate it 8.5 out of 10.

Practical task.

For homework we had to measure the hight of a tree and we weren't aloud to climb it or ask a possum to. So I decided to take a picure of me standing beside it and just photo crop me and duplicate the photos of me till I reached the top of the tree. I'm 1 meter and 50 cm high and it took 5 and a quater of me to get to the top. I did my equation like this. 1.50 x 5 equals 7.5 + 40cm equals 8.9 so the hight of this tree is 8 meteres and 90 centimeters high.

My experience of bullying

I haven't really been bullied before but i've seen it happen. Theirs lots of sittes that involve bullying like Facebook, Twitter, ask.fm and sometimes Youtube. Websites are well know for cyber bullying and other thing like threatening people, being horrible and lots of stupid stuff like little rummors and stuff. Theres been a lot of suicide deaths and attempts because of bullying and I think that all bullying should stop and any body who's caught bullying should be dropped from school or suspended.

For and against.

Football is better than Rugby

For
•Football is a more funner sport to play and not as pushy and ruff.
•Football involves less players than Rugby so you can have more time on the ball.
•Most Football games don't end up in fights but most rugby games do.
Against
•In rugby you dont have springs flying every where.
•You dont have to be as fit to play rugby.
•In a game of rugby it easier to score than in a game of Football

For and Against

Burger King is better than KFC.

For
•Burger King is more fulling and has heartier meals than KFC.
•Burger King's burgers are well made, wrapped up and put in bags, but KFC just cook them up and put them in a box.
•In my opinion Burger King has a big variety of food than KFC.

Against
•KFC is cheaper than Burger King because a burger at Burger King costs around $5-$10 and a big piece of chicken at KFC is around $2-$4.
•Burger King usually has a lot of people ordering at the check out and drive through, and KFC usually does have as much people ordering at the check out and drive through.

My best day of the holidays

The best day of the holidays was when my Grandma and Grandad came back from England. My Grandma and Grandad went over to england for their 50th anniversary. They went for 7 weeks and came back on Friday night. When their plane landed at the airport and they walked of the plane, I got a very big shock. They both walked out holding big bags of stuff. Later that evening they gave the bags to my mum and then she gave them to me. When I got home I opened the bag they gave me and they brought me 2 new pairs of Football boots, one was the new Adidas f50 boot but I didn't get to open the last pair because they where my Christmas present. At the bottom of the bag was a full 2014 Real Madrid home kit as well. I was really exited when I got these because they aren't available in New Zealand.

Yesterday most of our class went to see the matinee at Bay Court. The production was called A Most Triumphant Tale and it was about bands. Their were to bands. One was called One dimension and the other was called Labyrinth. One dimension was the bad band that lip sinked every thing and Labyrinth was the good band that was trying to stop them from ruining music for ever. I had a few of my friends acting and singing in the production. Travis was sing in the choir and then sang a song in one seen. My other friend Ethan was in the One dimension with one of the lead roles. Also Damian and Liam had one of the lead roles as weel. The show was really good and was weel made to. I really enjoyed it.

The very crummy Meter Man

In the summer holidays mum broke her arm at the ice skating place that was in town. A few weeks later my mum went to the hospital to get a new cast. Half way though the proses of her getting a new cast, I looked out the window and saw a little stubby Mater Man walking down the street. I told my mum and I looked again. I was surprised to see him checking out mums car. Mum told me to run out and put some money in the Meter and tell him that see was getting a new cast. I ran out side and asked him how to put money in the Meter but he rejected me and kept on walking. I saw that he had given my mum a ticket. I grabbed the ticket and gave it to my mum in side. She read the ticket and suddenly yelled "40 bucks! Jeez!" I read the ticket my self and it did say $40. After my mum got her new cast we drove down to the Tauranga City council and complained about the ticket that was $40. After a while a man in a suit came up to use and discussed the issue. My mum was so angry about the ticket because usually  the ticket is only $12. In the end my mum still had to pay the $40 but in the future she says she will keep on writing complaints till she doesn't have to pay for it.

My Science Fair

This year for science fair I'm doing a test on what other materials can you use in a cup and string telephone and what ones are the best and have the best clarity, durability and density. I spray painted my board red and blue and I have got purple paper as my background paper. I have 9 tests in my experiment. My first test is paper cup and cotton string, next was paper cup and poly string, then paper cup and fishing line, next was plastic cup and cotton string, then plastic cup and poly string, then plastic cup and fishing line, the tin can and cotton string, next was tin can and poly string and lucky last was tin can and fishing line. I based my test on 3 things. Clarity, durability and density.

CAPTCHA

Captcha is a program that most websites use. Its use is to stop robots spamming blogs and other websites. I have Captcha on my blog, in fact our whole class has it. Captcha uses old books, newspapers and radio broadcasts for its words. It scans the books and other stuff and usually the words come out all weird and strange. About 200 million people solve these words every day. I think Captcha is a good thing to stop bots and other people from spamming. I also thing websites like Facebook  should use it as well.

Cross Country

Yesterday we had our school cross country. The run was 3 km and we ran on grass and road. Last year I came 17th but this year I came 25th. The year 7 girls ran first, then year 7 boys then 8 girls and finally the year 8 boys. The race was though to start with and then it got a bit easier the second lap came around because every one was spread out. I passed a few people and a few people passed me but I tried  my hardest to pass the people who passed me. After the race I went and sat down and asked a few people where they came. Nathan came 8th, Conor came 12th and Lookie came 1st. I wasn't that happy with my placing because I was 7 places slower than my last years place.

Xbox at my mates houses.

I don't really play computer games or xbox games but I play them at my mates house. When I go to their houses We usually chill out and play on the computer and Xbox. When I go to Nathans house we always play Fifa 13. Fifa 13 is the latest football game at the moment. You can design players, make teams and just play as your favorite team. When I go to my cousions house we always play that game called Modern Warfare 3. MW3 is just a normal shooting game where you run around killing people. I like Fifa 13 the best but I hardly ever play it and I dont know as much about it as Nathan.

My Dads Job

My Dad works as a cabinet, kitchen and furniture maker for a company called Creative kitchens and furniture. He leaves home at 7:15am and starts work at 7:30am and comes home at 5:30pm. He makes some cabinets and also some furniture that are more than $10,000. He's been into castles, mansions and celebrates houses just to put in a cabinet or  a dinning table. He's been into the ACDC drummers house to put in a new kitchen. He's been into a Chinese temple thing to put in a few cabinets and a massive front door. He's also been to a house/mansion where the people who lived in it were friends or relatives of Sir Edmond Hillary and had two repliques of the pick axes he used to climb Mount Everest. Their are only 5 people working at his work and hes got 2 bosses and 1 work mate and apparently  the other guy is a try hard who can't make a shelf.

My daily argument at home

"Have you done the dishwasher yet?" Asked mum.

"Oh, no I forgot," I said, "I'll do it now."

"Can you please shut all the windows to." mum replied.

"Ok, I'll do it after I do the dishes." I said with no enthusiasm.

"Thank you, now you can have some chocolate." Mum said happily.

indoor football game Tawa v Rimu

Yesterday at morning tea our house Rimu had an indoor football catch up game. We played Tawa because the game that we where aspost to play got rained off. The game started off well but it was very competitive the whole way through. There was a few chances for us and them but the half time result was nil all. At half time Mr Mossop made a few subs. We started the second half not so great because we kept on kicking the ball above our heads so they got lots of free kicks and they managed to score off one. We had the same amount of free kicks as well but I think the ref was a bit bias because when ever we had a free kick he'd pull it up for kicking it high but it only hit the cross bar and thats no high. THe end result was 1 nil to them.

My Football game against Mount Madrid

On Saturday I played my Football game against Mount Madrid. They looked very competitive when we did the tose. I won the tose and chose to stay the way we where facing so they got to kick off. We didn't have a good start and they managed to score in the first 5 minutes, but luckily Travis managed to sneak one in straight after we kicked off. It was 1-1 for a while but then we had a quick counter and I managed to get one in. About 10 minutes later they had an attack and they one guy ran to the penalty shot and then got passed to but he was offside and the lines-men was standing on half way talking and laughing to someone so our whole team when up to our ref Steve and complained about the lines-men but Steve just said "If you say one more word i'll send you off!" Soon after that it was nearly half time so we all went up for a big attack and then we set Zach up and he score just before half time. We kicked off the second half and had lots of attacks but we kept on missing. Travis scored again but this time 2 people hand balled it to try to stop it from going in. THe end result was 4-2 to us.

Physical Activity and the Outdoors

Rimu Homework Challenge #6

P5. Complete in a sport for an entire season

Football
I've been playing Football for 6 years now and this year is my 7th season. When I first started kicking a Soccer ball around I was 4 years old. I played it in my back yard and at the park with my Dad and he tort me the rules of Football and some skills as well.

Two years later my dad signed me up for saturday morning Football at Blue Rovers. I played mini grade for one year and my team was called the Sharks. Our kit was green shirts, blue shorts, blue socks with a white stripe at the top and some normal sand shoes. I can't remember much about that grade but we managed to come 2nd in the mini grade league. At the end of this season I got a Participation certificate, Coaches award and a fun team photo.

The next year it was 2007 and I was in 7th grade. Again our team name was the Sharks and this time we wore black and red shirts and the same shorts and socks but this year was the start of boot grade. That year we came 2nd again but to a team called Bluebottles. The Bluebottles had some of the best players in that team such as Ollie Valentine who is in the U13 Man City squad. That year I didn't win anything but I got the average Participation certificate and the shinny team photo.

2008, the year that we played different clubs around the bay such as Papamoa, Te Puke and so on. That year I got put in Reserve 2A grade. That was the year that we played in all Blue with numbers and everything. Our team was called Blue Rovers Typhoons and we came 3rd in the league. I played centre defense in that season and scored a few goals as well. THat year was the same as the year before, just the average Participation certificate and the shinny new team photo.

2009, this was the year I decided to move football clubs. I was deciding between Waipuna FC witch was just across the road or Mount. I decided to go to Waipuna to play with some friends from school and managed to drag a couple mates from Blue Rovers with me. I got put in the reserve team with a few mates and I scored 8 goals in the season. If I can remember correctly we came 4th in the league and that year I got player of the year for my team plus the Participation certificate and a team photo.

In 2010 I made it into the Waipuna 10th grade Prem team. I played striker that season and scored 11 goals and trilled for reps but got rejected. We were one of the best teams in our league coming 3rd 2 points behind Nathans Papamoa team. We entered 3 tournaments . We entered the Papamoa mid season tourney and came 3rd in a penalty shoot out. We also entered the 10th grade Blue Rovers tourney and came runners up in a game against Cambridge. We entered the Waipuna 10th grade tourney as well and came first in a game that we won 5 nil but the week before that I fell of a 3 meter high bridge on to flat concrete and landed on my knee with my bike on my back, I was on crutches for 3 weeks.

In 2011 I was in the prem team again. That year I scored 13 goals 2 more goals than my previous record, 11. I played skriker again for the season but that year we played on a bigger field with bigger goals. We entered 3 tournaments again. Our first one was the Papamoa mid season tourney. We came second in the tournament against Three Kings United in a penalty shoot out. We lost 5-4. Our second tourney was the Blue Rovers Vincent Green tourney. We came third in that tournament in a shoot out as well. Our other tourney we went to was the New Zealand nationals. That was a tourney where anyone could enter but you had to be on of the top teams of your region. We where lucky to even get in the tourney. It was held in Taupo and it was very cold. We managed to make it in the plate final against and Auckland team. We lost that final 5-3. I scored a easy chip, Logan scored a wicked free kick and Skilly scored another awesome free kick. That final was one of the most intense games i've ever played. Their were probably 20 free kicks, 2 penalties and a few scraps as well. My dad got a yellow card from the ref for saying a very naughty word even though he is our coach.

Last year was my first season in 12 and 13th grade. We played against 12 and 13 year olds. We got put in the 2 div because of 3 of our top players left of go play at a different club. I scored 13 goals again that season. We won the league and never lost one game.

This year i'm still in 12 and 13th grade. I've scored 6 goals so far and many more are coming my way. We are in 1st div this year and we've played our first game but lost 11-1 for so random reason. I'm also in the coerver elite squad and the new U13 Otumoetai federation sunday league team. I play center forward most games and I also play the odd centre mid as well. I play left and right mid on sunday for Otumoetai and sometimes play striker for the last 10 minutes.

Do dogs see other colors apart from black and white

Dogs see in black and white but they see in color too. They can not recognize the colors red, orange, yellow and green. They can see different shades of blue and they can tell apart different shades of grey that are not recognized by people.

Why is the sky blue

The sky is blue in the day because the molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When the sun sets when see red and orange because the blue light has been scatters away from the line of sight.

The graveyard visit

Last week room 42 visited the 16th Avenue Cemetery. We went to the Cemetery to get started on a new statistics thing we are doing with maths. We went in pairs to the Cemetery and along the way we learn't a bit about different Cemetery's around New Zealand and Ms Campbell told us about Tapu Noa. I was Nathan's partner and when we arrived at the Cemetery we walked around looking at all the different types of graves and how old people where. We soon saw Steff and Travis and walked around to try find anyone who died over 100 tears old. Me and Nathan got a bit carried away with the 100 year old person and started doing our statistics question. Our question was what was the most common month that people died in. When Ms Campbell called us back we had to wash our hand with water to wash off the Tapu Noa witch is the spirits of the Cemetery's.

Giving

Rimu Homework Challenge #5

G2: Give to your family: Prepare 3 formal three course meals, including the menu, cooking and presenting, Photos of the meal and feedback from your guests.

Kyle's 3 course meal #1

ENTREE
For my entree I dipped 4 pieces of bread into a bowl full of beated eggs. Then I quickly flopped them onto the pan to cook. Then I cut of all of the fatty bits of the bacon and placed them in the oven to grill. After the french toast and bacon was ready I quickly made up some Raro and poured it into some glasses.

MAIN
For my main meal I got a packet of pasta into a big bowl. Next I made up the cheesy sauce and cooked it in a pot till it was ready. Then I got a few pieces of bacon a chopped them up into little squares and grills them to. After all that I mixed them all together in the bowl that the pasta was in and wrapped tin foil around it and cooked it in the oven.

Dessert
For my dessert I made a yummy batch of chocolate chipped banana muffins. I simply followed the recipe in my mum's baking book and left it in the oven of about 20 minutes to bake.
