The 12 Hour Relay Disaster
The look on Mr Scholes's face spelled T for trouble. He looked at the drive way and yelled, "Everyone in the class rooms!" Everyone started running to the closest class rooms. I was was trying to see what was happening but then 3 loud gun shots echoed through the field. I ran as fast as I could to the nearest classrooms. The sirens went off and everyone was panicking. I couldn't hear anything and I didn't notice people falling down behind me. I wanted to look back but I knew I couldn't. The temptation was annoying me. My legs stopped and body slowly turned to look at the bloody mess behind me. I hear'd motorbikes speed off in the distance. I ran to the Fraser street exit. My feet skidded across the cold concrete. I saw about 15 fat people on big black motorbikes speed past. They were all holding guns. They all had a badge on their jackets. I couldn't read it but I recognized The white angry bulldog. I raced up the path and jumped in Mr Bibby's brand new Jaguar. I found the keys and slammed my foot on the pedal. I zoomed down the drive way and out onto Fraser street. The pedal was jammed down I couldn't stop. In about 10 seconds I was in Merival. Suddenly I saw a bright light coming towards me. BOOM!!!

This term we have had our Life Ed sessions. One of the topics we are learning about is drugs. Everyone in our class has made a presentation about one individual drug so that we can extend our knowledge. I made my presentation to a class member and they have given me feedback below.
Success Criteria
- confidence when they deliver their presentation
- their knowledge is genuine
- information is in their own words
- no reading off the page, not too much text
- images match content
- visually appealing
- not too long or short
Morning Post
Dear Mr Diver
My name is Kyle and I'm in room 42 Rimu house. I want to change our P.E uniforms and make them cooler and more comfortable. We should change the fabric in our P.E shirts, change the design and I recon we should be able to get out names on the back of them. I think this would be a good idea because they would be more comfortable and better looking.

Letter of advice
I've got some older friends (I'm 13, they are 14/15) who have invited me to a party on Saturday night at someone's house. I'm pretty sure everyone there will b drinking. I've never had alcohol before. I'm going to tell me parents that I'm staying the night at my friend's house. I feel quite nervous, cos I know it's bad. What should I do?
I think you should ask them what they would be drinking and find out some details of whats going to be available there. Or you can just tell your parents that you'll be going to a party. If they say no then thats a good thing cos your to young anyway

Give advice
I found out my two friends smoke. I'm only 13. I don't know what to do. I am really confused. Please help.
Give Advice!
Hello darling.
I've reed your letter and I'm pretty shocked. 13 years old! Thats very bad isn't it. But don't worry i'm here to help. What I did when my friends started smoking was try to convince them to see a councilor or talk to a teacher. But what you should do is talk to them. Ask them why they're doing it and tell them that smoking kills and it can cause bad damage to your lungs and brain. But if nothing works them just simply de-friend them and then they'll feel stink.
