Coerver Academy

Coerver Coaching Academy.
Coerver coaching is a football skills academy that was made in Holland. Coerver is a football academy that teachers you the skills on how to beet a player, over come your weaknesses on the football field, how to find space for a good though ball and the correct skills and tricks that you can use. Coerver have trained some of the worlds best football teams like Man City, Stoke, Man United, Celtic and lots more. I've been in the Coerver coaching Academy for a year and a quarter now and my saturday morning coach and my Coerver coach has seen massive improvements in us all. We train on a tuesday at 7-8 at night and if we get there early we can join in coaching the lower gade squad.

This is me playing on the 27 of April against the Auckland Coerver performance academy squad

In Coerver, when you have past your year grading and mastered all your skills, they get together a top squad to travel to Auckland or Rotorua once a term to play in tournament against New Zealands top academy teams. These are some of the big tournaments and games that I get to play in or played in, Coerver Cup which is a tournament in Auckland that involves Three Kings, Hamilton, and a whole lot more. The Aussie tour which is when the Queensland and New South Whales prem rep team come down and play agains all the squads in New Zealand in a indoor game. The Coerver performance match is when we go up to Auckland or they come down here and play us in a full on match to test our skills and new tricks out. In January every year our coaches pick the best Coerver players to go over to Canberra for a week to train with New Zealands and Australia's best Coerver players. I got picked to go at the start of this year but turned down the offer to other requirements.

At the start of every year we have a pre-season grading and this year we where asked to do a demo session that involved use doing our basic ball mastery, our step-overs and scissors, pull push combo, cuts, sole and toe taps combo and heaps more. Our coerver coach has also decided that we will be doing demo sessions around schools in the bay. We have been training for this for ages now and we have pretty much mastered all of the demo stuff, like our toe touch step-over slide combo and our sole touch pull push combo and a few more. I play for Waipuna's 12/13 prem team on sundays and I've made it in for the new Wai-bop under 13's sunday federation league for the Otumoetai squad. Coerver is now opening up to anybody in Tauranga that plays Football.

News Post Sport

Real Madrid has over taken Man United as the worlds most valuable football club. The Forbes company has valued Madrid at $US3.3 billion. United which has been valued number 1 since 1994 is second with $US3.17 billion, and Barcelona valued at third with $US2.6 billion. Forbes has also valued David Beckham as the worlds most valued player at $US50.6 million. Then Cristiano Ronaldo at $US43.5 million, and in third is Lionel Messi with $US40.3 million.

I think that this is wonderful that my favorite football team is the worlds most valuable club. But I don't get how David Beckham is the worlds most valued player.

The EPL (English premier league) is soon bringing in goal line technology. The big EPL bosses said yes to bringing it in at the start of next season. The system uses 7 cameras in each goal to track the balls movement and show video footage. When the balls cross the line it then will send a signal to the referees watch in less than a second of it happening.

I think that this goal line technology is very handy and will be way better for people like Lampard and how he scored at the 2010 World cup and was disallowed.

News Post Odd Stuff

A dog in the US has just eaten $500 in real money. The dog called Sundance was left in his owners car when his owner Wayne was going for dinner in a restaurant in Colorado. She feasted on five $100 bills that were left in Waynes car. The owner doesn't want to lose any of his cash so he decided to retrieve the five $100 bill in Sundance's droppings. Hes now taped up the bills and has sent them to the US treasury department in hope that they will replace them.

I think that this is very funny and worrying at the same time because what if my dog sneaks into my wallet and eats lots of money.

A boeing 737 plane has crashed into sea after it fell short of a runway in Bali. There were 101 passengers and 7 flight crew on the 737 but luckily there where no deaths. The plane was trying to land on Denpasar's Ngurah Rai international airport. Photo's of the Lion Air aircraft show that the plane's fuselage had split in half behind the wings.

I think that the pilots of the 737 weren't paying attention and didn't turn around before landing.

The state of Arizona has created an annual Cowboy day. They have created this National event to recognize the unique Cowboy culture and it's proper place in history. The Cowboy's and Cowgirls will be honored every fourth Saturday of July. This holiday will not be a paid legal holiday. Last year Arizona just celebrated its 100th anniversary. Arizona becomes the fourth state in the nation to observe such a day.

I think that this day will be great for Cowboys but a bit of a waste of time for other people.

Homework Expectations

Amount
We think that 30-45 minutes every weeknight is a reasonable expectation for homework. Per week that equals approximately 2.5 hours per week of homework.
2 terms = 20 weeks. Every homework task should take you 5 hours to do.

Quality
You need to work on each homework task for at least 2.5 to 5 hours. It should like it was done by a year 8 student. The product you make (if relevant) should look good quality.

Blog Post
- must be at least 2 paragraphs
- has to be punctuated correctly, spell checked and no errors
- you must include which category and task number in your post title so Miss C can sign you off.

A New Zealand study has found how much time high school students spend on Facebook and academic performance. The Canterbury University studied 106 high school students and found that the more time they checked their Facebook the lower their grades where. The study found 56% spend 15 minutes to a hour on Facebook in any session and 54% spend 5 to 15 minutes online. The University study can not prove that the more time they checked Facebook the lower their grades will be. But other factors such as parenting and social backgrund might also be a factor in Facebook use.

I think students shouldn't go on Facebook at school and not so much at home because it might be a problem with their school grades

A new law has been brought in to New Zealand for people under 18 to not use sun beds. This new law was brought to New Zealand late last week by Associate Health Minister, Jo Goodhew. This new law also disallows fiar-skinned people from using sun beds as well. They have changed this law to prevent skin cancer rates. This new law will be placed down in New Zealand at the end of this year.

I think this is a very good way to prevent skin cancer rates in New Zealand, but it is not so good because is disallows fiar-skinned people from using them ether.
