The very crummy Meter Man
In the summer holidays mum broke her arm at the ice skating place that was in town. A few weeks later my mum went to the hospital to get a new cast. Half way though the proses of her getting a new cast, I looked out the window and saw a little stubby Mater Man walking down the street. I told my mum and I looked again. I was surprised to see him checking out mums car. Mum told me to run out and put some money in the Meter and tell him that see was getting a new cast. I ran out side and asked him how to put money in the Meter but he rejected me and kept on walking. I saw that he had given my mum a ticket. I grabbed the ticket and gave it to my mum in side. She read the ticket and suddenly yelled "40 bucks! Jeez!" I read the ticket my self and it did say $40. After my mum got her new cast we drove down to the Tauranga City council and complained about the ticket that was $40. After a while a man in a suit came up to use and discussed the issue. My mum was so angry about the ticket because usually the ticket is only $12. In the end my mum still had to pay the $40 but in the future she says she will keep on writing complaints till she doesn't have to pay for it.
